heading home

we all knew this time would come. due to certain family events i have decided that i am ready to go home. this is officially my last week in san diego with my family. it's also spring break though! so i don't plan to just sit around the house doing nothing all day. i have spent the last two days at the pool swimming reading and laying in the sun, and i even got a bit of a tan going. hopefully by the end of the week i will have a full fledge san diego tan to show off back home! i am sad to be giong home and saying goodbye to my family out here but i have to say im happy to be going home. i have missed my mom and my brothers very much. i never realized how much they meant to me until i didn't get to see them everyday and play with them. and i know that they miss me too cause they remind me every day that they want me to come home. i am also happy to get to see my girls (young women girls!!) too. they send me the sweetest messages and make me all teary eyed. they mean so much to me and honestly they are huge part of the reason i go. seeing their young bright happy faces makes me so happy.
the end of my "vacation" also brings the end of this blog. i won't take it down simply because i don't want to but i am thinkning about starting a new blog (yes another one!) about living in vegas. boring huh? lol. people think vegas is some party city where no one sleeps and everyone gambles and wears 6 inch heels. hah! not everyone does that. once you get far enough away from the strip it's a pretty normal city to live in. i have lived there nine years and have only been in like less that half of the casinos and almost never go to the strip unless i have family in town who wants to go. so i am seriously conidering it but will make no promises to do it. i will have to find the time (who am i kidding? i have plently of time im just lazy) to do it! i will also be looking at a few job oppurtunities. nothing for sure yet but im looking into it. well. this is probably the last post for this blog. unless i take some picures of me being lazy at the pool :)

im back!!

so my week in texas has come to an end. and let me just say i am in no hurry to go back. although i had lots of fun and enjoyed myself i was slightly dissapointed. it was great to see the little cousins and my family but the drive is not worth it. two days in a car was not fun! i thought i was going to go crazy. we spent a total of four days driving and only five days in arlington. plus the food was very dissapointing. the only food i enjoyed was the crawfish at rock fish resturant. they were soo good. but the other food was not. especially whatabutger. that just made me mad! $18 for two burgers and they weren't good at all! maybe they would have been better if i had never had in n out but sadly i have and there is no competition! in n out is waaay better. the only good thing about whattaburger was the spicey ketchup. that stuff was delicious! i wish i could have brought a whole box of that stuff with me! also while i was in texas me and my cousin went to the sixth floor museum in downtown dallas. for those of you who don't know that is the building that lee harvey oswald was in when he shot president john f kennedy. i have to say for me that was the highlight of the trip. i have always wanted to go there and it was so amazing. to stand on that floor was awe-inspriring and just plane awesome. i learned so many things that i didn't know about and got to see some amazing pictures and videos. plus i picked up some cool stuff for my grandma who was alive when it happened.

another thing that i wasn't too happy about was all the shopping we did. don't get me wrong. i looove to shop. but i feel like i could have don't that here and the fact that we went shopping on two different days wasn't my idea of a vacation. especially when i could have gone to the zoo. which i love to do. to see some of the stuff i got go check out the kamiblogger page!!

banana boat tanning heaven!

let me start by saying that i never tan. i like to think that i do but usually when i go to the beach or am out in the sun for a long period of time i burn. i come home all red and hot and itchy and it SUCKS. but today, i actually got a little bit of a tan. i figured since i'm in california i should at least try to go home with a tan. so i put on some tanning lotion and walked down to the pool and sat/layed on a chair while i read my book (a review will be up sometime next week!!). now i have to admit. i really liked just sitting there in the quiet by myself in the sun with a good book. the only problem is that i didn't think about the fact that only half of my body was in the sun while the other half was in the shade because of a stinkning tree! so now my left arm in tanner than my right. and it is very noticeable. and i don't like it. now im not 100% sure how to fix this. maybe next time i will lay on the other side of the pool so my right side is more in the sun? i don't know. but i have to say for my first time actually TRYING to get tan i am pretty pleased. i didn't think there would be much of a difference but there is. i just wish that my legs/chest got more tan. it's mosly just my arm that got the color so if there are any tricks you guys know to get your legs to tan better let me know! cause i would love to go back to vegas with a nice tan and not all pastey whiter than sour creme white!

48 cupcakes... and lots of frosting!

yes! i made 48 cupcakes yesterday! but i had a really good reason. it was my uncle bill's birthday so me and my cousin thought it would be funny to make him 48 cupcakes and put a candle in each one and spell his name. so i spent the whole day making red-velvet cupakes and frosting (all homemade!) and it was so much fun. it was sooo funny to see the look on his face when he walked in the door. he had no idea that i had done this. so it was a pretty classic moment. plus the fact that me and my cousin couldn't stop laughing long enough to sing him happy birthday. it was a "you should have been there moment" for sure. right after we told him that we were taking him to sushi saturday and he was happy. he laughed about it and thought it was funny so it's all good!

it's offocial!!

so most of you know that my time in san diego was undertermined and no one was really sure how long i would be staying here. as of LAST NIGHT i will be staying till the end of march. i talked to my mom and i will be going to texas begining of march with my cousin!! oh ya! im so excited that i get to go. ive always wanted to go to texas and the fact that i get to do it with one of my favorite cousins makes it that much sweeter! this has been one of the best vacations ever. ive had so much fun here so far and made so many fun memories and there are so many more to be made. im doing things that i never thought i would be getting to do and going to places thati used to go to as a little kid. i truely do wish that i could bring my whole family here with me but unfortunetly not everyone loves this place as much as i do. there is only one other place that i love as much as i love this place. i am surrounded by my family here and get to be with them 24/7. i know right? most people don't like to spend every second of their day with their families but i love it. and the fact that i get to go to texas to see MORE of my family, is just awesome. well that's all for now!!

the beach, sun, and happiness

so today i went to lajoua to see the sealines and take pictures. it was so amazing. there isn't a place i find more peacefull than a beach. i always feel like im getting to enjoy my own little peace

heaven on earth. i love the smell of the ocean water and the ocean breeze blowing my hair back and the sound of the waves crashing over the rocks. it's so peaceful to just stand there and let the sun shine down on my face. it's just an amazing feeling and always so calming. i just love to go to the beach and realx. plus i got to see some really cute sealines. the place where they swarm/lay used to be a kiddy pool where little kids could go and swim since it's not too deep. its just an over-all amazing place. tomorrow i will be at cornado beach and will deff make sure to post some pictures of that too! it's one of my favorite beaches right after the beaches in brookings oregon.

remember to enjoy life and take time out to enjoy it's simple yet beautiful wonders and
